Dr. Austin Sherman

Dr. Austin Sherman received his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine Degree from the University of Missouri in 2020. Dr. Sherman started with FGVS as a veterinary assistant in 2012 while attending Missouri State University for a degree in General Business. Dr. Sherman was raised in the Springfield-Fair Grove area, and grew up showing clydesdales on his grandparent’s farm. Dr. Sherman enjoys working with all species and sizes of animals at he clinic, but has a special interest in draft horses. On his time off he enjoys hiking, floating, and traveling with his two dogs.

Dr. Casey Talbot

Dr. Casey Talbot received his Bachelors degree in Biology from Missouri Valley College in 2007. He received his Master of Public Health and Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from the University of Missouri. He has been wth Fair Grove Veterinary Service since graduation from vet school in 2012. Dr. Talbot enjoys both food animal and small animal medicine and surgery with a special interest in beef production medicine. Dr. Talbot spent most of his childhood in the Snake River Valley in Southeast Idaho on a small dairy. Just prior to graduating high school he and his family moved to Southwest Missouri and he has enjoyed being in Missouri since. Dr. Talbot has a a lap dog named Missy, a cat named Sweet Pea and several chickens. He spends most of his free time enjoying his family, which includes his wife Elizabeth and four young children. When he can escape for some free time of his own he greatly enjoys hunting and fishing

Dr. Katelyn Gillespie

Dr. Katelyn Gillespie received her bachelor’s degree in Animal Science from Missouri State University in 2017. She then went on and received her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from the University of Missouri in 2021. Throughout veterinary school Dr. Gillespie shadowed and worked alongside Dr. Sherman and Dr. Talbot to gain experience. Dr. Gillespie has been practicing medicine at Fair Grove Veterinary Service since graduation in 2021. She especially loves the surgery side of things. Dr. Gillespie was born and raised in Strafford Missouri and has always had a dream to help those in need, including all animals; big and small and furry or not. On her days off Dr. Gillespie enjoys being in nature and being surrounded with her friends and family. Her family includes: her husband, Travis, her three cats, Tac, Mila, and Bonnie Lou, and her two boxers, Cowboy, and Tucker.
